Trust in education

Trust in the school context, especially around the use of technology.

About

trust graffiti

This site is all about trust.  When I started learning about BYOT, I kept reading about how important a culture of trust was for schools planning on implementing major change, such as introducing a BYOT policy.

I started to wonder about trust and how it exists in schools.  What is it exactly?  Who needs to have trust and in what or whom?  How is trust developed? Is trust in schools different from trust in the rest of the community?  Is trust today different from trust in times past?

I am a teacher, mother, higher education student, consultant to an IT business and one of those lifelong learners we hope our students will turn into.

BYOT? Bring Your Own Trust? Is that what you mean? My daughter is a F&CS teacher for 7th and 8th graders, working at a new teaching job with no curriculum, she finally got textbooks the other day. She has to stay until 5 Pm, 3 hours late to make a new lesson plan for the next day. Thank God for the text books!
